MY TRIP TO PRAGUE

Hilton Prague & Hilton Prague Old Town | LinkedIn

Prague | Destination MO | Christmas in Prague

During the Christmas holidays I spent four days in Prague, the fascinating capital city of the Czech Republic.
On the first day I went to Charles Bridge, a historic bridge which connects the Old Town and the New Town. After crossing that famous bridge I took a walk in Mala Strana District;  I went and saw John Lennon Wall which  is entirely covered in graffiti and lyrics from the Beatles' songs, and designs relating to local and global causes; I loved it so much because it was the meeting place for young local dissidents at the time of oppressive Communist Prague.

THE REVOLUTION OF GRETA THUMBERG

Risultato immagini per greta thunberg

Greta Thumberg is not just a simple teenager.  This 17-year-old girl from Sweden, is fighting to defend the planet from man's disastrous impact on the climate.
On 20 August 2018, she started to skip school and strike sitting outside Sweden’s parliament building, the Riksdag, in Stockholm.
Her strength and conviction made it possible that she was immediately followed by other teenagers in her protest. And her followers have been increasing all over the world day by day !

In the meantime, since her first appearance at the Swedish parliament, many things have changed. A movement in the fight against climate change has spread across the world very quickly and has found support from both young people and global political forces. This international movement, known as #FridaysForFuture,  includes over 1.2 million students in over 112 countries. Periodically they organize demonstrations which take thousands of people to the streets, both adults and children, who protest against governments' lack of action in tackling the climate crisis.

MY TRIP TO NEW YORK

Risultato immagini per new york

Last summer I went to the fascinating city of New York and it was an amazing experience. Coming from a small town, seeing that vast and chaotic city, always full of people, was really weird. I went there on a study trip for two weeks, the other students and I were all divided into groups, each with its own group-leader. The first thing I noticed was that on my other trips I always had to walk in line, but in New York it was literally impossible!  Sidewalks are huge, but there are too many people around and apparently New Yorkers are always in a hurry, so we bumped into lots of them lots of times!

A LETTER TO KOBE BRYANT

Risultato immagini per kobe from behind

Dear Kobe,

I still can’t believe what happened. Nobody believes it. Yet, that’s it! You died leaving a gaping hole in the whole world. The fact is that you were not just an incredibly brilliant professional basketball player who took the ball and scored. No, you were a “legend”! You have always been, on and off the pitch. You have always been a fantastic person, with a bright smile, ready to laugh and make people   laugh.
But why you, Kobe? Why, among all the wicked people in the world, did you depart this life? Probably the only wrong thing  you did  was  to  tell the referee to go to hell in various languages!  You died with your beloved daughter Gigi, leaving your wife Vanessa and three other beautiful girls in despair.
I can’t understand your tragic death! Your absence is enormous for everyone, in the same way as the Staples Center missed your dunks when you retired from basketball in 2016. Your relationship with basketball was unique! It is amazing to think of all the records you beat:  the only player in NBA history who scored 60 points in his last game, the youngest player who won the Slam Dunk Contest, the only player in NBA history to score at least 600 points in the postseason for three consecutive years, the youngest player to start in an NBA All-Star game at the age of 19 years,  the only basketballer who won an Oscar in 2018 for his contributions to "Dear Basketball,'' an animated short about his relationship to the game. I think that’s enough, even if there are so many other  records …
It is the moment to say goodbye. Without a doubt,  you will continue to live in the heart of every person who loves sports, you will always  be a source of inspiration for many young people, but above all you will continue to be a “legend”. And do you know why you will never be forgotten? Simply because "Legends Never Die"!

L'ILLUMINISMO A MILANO

GRAFFITI: ART OR VANDALISM?

Risultati immagini per famous graffiti banksy

Graffiti is one of the best manifestations of contemporary art. It consists in writing or drawing everything you want on a wall or another surface. Graffiti ranges from simple words to elaborate drawings or paintings.

Graffiti has existed since cavemen began telling their stories through their drawings on cave walls;  people utilized graffiti as a form of worship in ancient Egypt and at the time of the Roman Empire. Nowadays graffiti artists use spray paints and marker pens and they embellish decaying urban areas.

UNA SERATA AL SILVANO TOTI GLOBE THEATRE

Risultati immagini per romeo and juliet at the globe theatre bedoin company
