EMILE ZOLA ET LE NATURALISME

Émile Zola est un grand romancier français né le 2 avril 1840 à Paris, où il meurt le 29 septembre 1902. Figure emblématique du courant naturaliste du XIXe siècle, Zola dépeint dans ses romans la société française du Second Empire avec minutie et réalisme. Il est également connu pour ses prises de position politique contre les dérives autoritaires du Second Empire et dans l’affaire Dreyfus en 1897. Ses romans font partie des titres les plus publiés et traduits dans le monde.

ANNE FRANK'S DIARY

 

The United Nations General Assembly designated 27 January - the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau - as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

On this annual day of commemoration, the UN urges every member state to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides.

In The Diary of Anne Frank a Jewish teenager chronicled her family’s two years (1942–44) in hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands during World War II. The book was first published in 1947, two years after Anne’s death in a concentration camp, and later became a classic of war literature.

This  animated version of Anne Frank's famous diary makes her story easily accessible for a new generation without losing the power of the original text. Most moving is Anne's internal life, her reaction to their persecution, and subsequent life of total isolation, silence, terror and ultimately the positive and humanitarian attitude she is able to maintain. The film's most significant success is its ability to use the diary entries to create an Anne Frank who is compelling and endearing without being tearful.

UN ANNO SCOLASTICO ALL'ESTERO

Trascorrere un anno scolastico all'estero è uno dei modi più efficaci per imparare una lingua straniera. Lo studente ha  l’occasione di immergersi completamente nella lingua e nella cultura della sua destinazione, di acquisire eccellenti conoscenze linguistiche riconosciute a livello internazionale e di stringere amicizie che dureranno una vita.

Stefania Voloaca, studentessa del quarto anno del Liceo Linguistico, ha deciso di partire per gli Stati Uniti e ormai vive lì da oltre quattro mesi.

Questo è il suo primo avvincente post.

“Vivere dieci mesi negli Stati Uniti non è facile! È un’esperienza difficile sia a livello emotivo, perché ci si ritrova totalmente da soli dall’altra parte del mondo, sia a livello linguistico, malgrado una buona conoscenza della lingua inglese, il primo mese o forse i primi due mesi non si è in grado di capire tutto ciò che la gente ti dice!
